I figured out when we get to 182.5 days we will be to the halfway point when Erica comes home. That will be Saturday, February 10, 2007. It is probably a good thing that I am going to Korea shortly after that. I am really doing okay, but I do find it is better if I stay occupied. It is just an annoyance that Erica is not here. I get frustrated about something and she truly is one of the few people in this world that I can tell certain things- and she has such a clear perspective. Of course not any about Rick, I never get frustrated with him (in case you are reading this, Rick :). But for instance a person said something really mean about Kevin and I was so angry. It was good for Erica to point out to me that I needed to consider the source- this person's kids are no better.
Anyway enough about that. Rick and I did go to lunch on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and I said I was a little worried about breaking down during the holiday if I started missing Erica. I almost started crying talking about it- but I never did cry. It helped that both Kevin and Rick were in upbeat moods- not that they aren't usually hmmmf.. . . . . But I decided to get some for Judy for cooking the meal. I thought the best present was to get gifts for those grandkids of hers. Somehow I chose the perfect gift for each child that matched their passion. Charlie said, "You would have thought you knew them". Here is a couple of pics. This is a picture of Lily who I think reminds me so much of Grandma Freda.

Our Thanksgiving meal was good too. Turkey, noodles, dressing, mashed potatoes, scalloped oysters, sweet potatoes, corn and pies for dessert. I was delicious and Judy out did herself. There was less people than usual and they seemed to really be glad we came. I had lots of fun chatting with Meredith, Judy and her mom. We tried to call up Erica's blog on their dial up internet- but there just wasn't enough speed or memory to see the slide shows. Here are some pics of the food.

Rick and I just finished decorating the house for Xmas. I did get a lump in my throat when I looked up and saw that Rick had hung Kevin and Erica's stocking. Of course the stocking would still be up there, but it made me sad. The house looks really good though. I guess we won't be traveling for the holiday. Cliff is coming for 48 hours and we are not going anywhere. We have really cool Xmas cards though, so look forward to those.
I will be out of town next weekend so I won't post again for a couple of weeks. Take care my sweetie, Erica. I love you .
