Day 316
In 16 days we will drop to the 200's! I know I haven’t “blogged” in awhile. I need to think back on the most exciting times of my life the last 3 weeks.

Well, first on Friday, Sept. 15 a group of us (now called “Party of Five”) went down to the Plaza for dinner at 4 pm. We went to PF Changs and go a table on the patio. It was a beautiful night outside and lots of action on the Plaza. We sat there until 10 pm. Three groups came and went from the other table out there. It was Karen, Candy, Kimberly (our new darling counselor), Monica and me who were there. Gosh we covered every topic and it was so fun. I wish I could have gotten pictures. I did get one on my phone- but I need to get a pic of all us to post.

Pam’s birthday was Tuesday, Sept. 19- she turned the big 48. I actually bought her a vest and belt. When she opened it she squealed and went straight up to her bedroom to find jewelry and pants to match. Then Karla, Pat P. (Pam’s friend- Dan Peterson’s mom) Pam and I went to Bravo’s. I was feeling good after 2 glasses of wine until Karla ordered me another. It was one glass of wine too many so that I could feel 100% the next day. But we did have fun. I hung out at Pam’s afterwards and we just chatted till I thought I might fall asleep.

The next day I was so tired. I was able to get through but was ready for naptime by 4 pm but I had cheer practice till 4:30. Then I was supposed to be at Karen’s by 6 pm for Susan’s birthday. I didn’t make it there until 6:30 and luckily it was an alcohol free night.

I finished up the parenting classes I teach on that Thursday. My parenting classes went really well. I learned how to do a power point with audience “remote” feedback. They have little things that look like remotes- I have questions with choices A- up to E. They vote for their answer and when I click “end” and bar graph shows up to show how they answers (like the show Millionaire when they ask for audience answer. My questions were mostly opinions, but it was very interesting. Most of the parents chose that they predicted their stance on alcohol for their teen would be “no drinking and driving” instead of “absolutely no underage drinking”. I didn’t realize how realistic 6th grade parents could be! But of course, the other trainer and our police officer would have chosen the latter.

So needless to say I was bushed by last weekend. Kevin had a meltdown mid-week over me asking about a lighter on his bed after I knew he was late to school. Then the weekend he got to take his 2nd or 3rd Breathalyzer test by the police. We didn’t feel it was fair to discipline him when he was clean- they even searched his car. Aren’t we nice? Too nice I know. Sunday K went to church with us, mowed the lawn and ate dinner with us. It was wonderful and sad that it was such a big event. I think he realizes sometimes how lucky he is.

This week has gone okay other than my sinuses that I don’t want to go into. Yuk! I visited my new doctor and Monday and really liked her. She was very personable and I believe she is also smart. She found a stomach problem that I may have had for years! She may cure all my problems, including fatigue. Erica, when you come back I want you to be tested for this because you can have it from childhood even.

Tonight we are going to dinner with Walt and Sharon. It should be fun. We are going to J. Alexander’s. Tomorrow night Kelly and George behind us are having a party with “live music”. That should be fun. So we have quite the social calendar this weekend.
I don’t know if you know, Erica, but I think about you all the time. Sort of in between worrying about Kevin. I think when we hit the 4-month mark I am going to be really tired of NOT seeing you. I really need an Erica fix badly. I know dad feels the same way- we both run to your blog first thing in the morning to see if you posted anything. So keep ‘em coming.
