Day 346
Well, I am on pins and needles waiting to hear if Mike (Fike) made it across the world okay. I assume no news is good news. I hate hearing about Erica's eye infection. She sleeps in those contacts and has probably lost track of time. People are probably being so nice because many have left by this time and they figure she has passed the 2 weeks mark and may be a keeper.
Not much going on here. Rather boring compared to the adventures in Korea. I have lots of stress at work with too much to remember and too little brain power to do the job. I have f--d up a few minor details. Like I didn't know I had morning traffic duty and everyone was waiting on me Monday. After 2 days I realized that even though I was showing up, I was actually supposed to be there 5 minutes earlier. Mr. H. does the hard job of really directing traffic and the BV drivers are more likely to listen to him- but they were ignoring him this morning. He would turn around and say "did you see that?" Tomorrow I am taking paper out and writing down license plate number and have our Officer call them :) Remember "Tawanda!"? I have to go the long way around (down Quivera to 143th) to get to work. Some of these cute young chick think they can go at a stop sign right after the car in front of them. WRONG! I almost collided yesterday- but I won. Like Tawanda- I have more insurance!
Went out with Susan and Karen tonight to Brookridge Country Club for drink and appetizers. It was fun and FREE- because Susan is a member and they have to spend a certain amount. It was nice to get out and forget about my worries. Besides I have given my worries of parenting over to Rick for a few days- because I am tired of being a raving B- ch and not sleeping. He is much calmer than me and is not near as suspicious.
Project Runway is on so I have to go. The Elton John guy got kicked off last week. I felt bad for him. It was just a matter of time.
